About Appealathon

Channel Nine Perth enjoys a unique high profile position in the Western Australian community. Channel Nine is also proud to be involved in a number of major community events, activities and organisations.

Channel Nine Perth's Appealathon has raised, through the generosity of the people of Western Australia, in excess of $53 million since 1975.

Since 1975 Appealathon has supported the four 'founding beneficiaries' - Activ Foundation, Civilian Maimed & Limbless Association, Paraplegic/Quadriplegic Association and Rocky Bay Inc. Appealathon is involved in over 50 major fundraising events and projects staged each year. Some of these events include The Channel Nine City to Surf, the Rottnest Swim and the Appealathon Home.

Channel Nine Perth commits more than $1 million in free commercial air time, supporting the endeavours of many invited beneficiaries: Peel Health Foundation/Paediatric Wing, Camp Quality, Samaritans Prevention of Suicide and Variety Club.
