Postcards WA celebrates its 10th season this year making it the longest running, most successful lifestyle and travel series in Western Australia. Channel Nine Perth is proud to be supporting local TV made for Perth viewers to inspire and highlight the spectacular destinations all over Western Australia.
Postcards WA has won many awards over the years, in particular it has won the prestigious "Media Award" at the Western Australian Tourism Awards several times, entering the prestigious WA Tourism Hall of Fame.
Over the years the Postcards team have travelled more than 300,000kms all over the state from Eucla to the most northern point of W.A. - Faraway Bay. The team have travelled by all means including on a yacht up the coast from Perth to Darwin and even under the ocean in a submarine. They have dived with all the beautiful sea creatures around the coast from whale sharks to seahorses.
Postcards WA has kick-started television careers including Brendon Julian who went on to present for Australia’s favourite travel show Getaway and can now be seen on Fox Sports; also Aristos the Surprise Chef who went on to have his own national show.
Other notable presenters on the show have been John Barnett, former West Coast Eagles Chris Lewis, Brigitta Wuthe, Fiona Argyle and entertainer/cabaret artist Craig James.
Postcards WA has had a host of celebrity guest presenters including: Rolf Harris, Adam Brand, ABC’s Eoin Cameron, musicians Chris Isaak and Lee Kernaghan, Comedian Mark Trevorrow aka Bob Downe, Megan Gale, Seachange actors John Howard and William McInnes, Adam Garcia (Loves Brother), Rachel Beck, and politicians Kim Beasley, Richard Court and Geoff Gallop.
Postcards WA has returned for it's 10th Season. Join new comer Simone Heng and presenters Pip O’Connell, Teresa Spiniello, Ryan Campbell, Paul Entwistle and Dan Paris every Sunday night at 5.30pm.
