Reporter
Ebbeny began her television career in Sydney but returned home to Perth in 2006.
She completed her Journalism degree at Curtin University and graduated as a member of the Vice Chancellor’s Honour Roll.
Ebbeny read her first radio news bulletin at the age of 19 for Curtin FM.
She was soon offered a position as breakfast news editor/presenter and was responsible compiling and presenting the morning bulletins, as well as guiding fellow students in the newsroom.
Upon completion of her university degree, Ebbeny was offered a job at Sydney radio station 2SM- which supplies news to over 35 stations across NSW and Queensland.
She jumped at the opportunity, packed her bags and headed East!
It was just 6 months before she was approached by rival station 2GB (at the time the highest rating radio station in Sydney).
During her time at 2GB Ebbeny worked alongside star radio broadcasters Alan Jones and Ray Hadley, and as well as reporting, she presented news bulletins including those during the Athens Olympics.
After spending a year reporting for Sydney radio stations Ebbeny was offered a position with Channel Ten News. She spent three years as a reporter for Ten Sydney covering a variety of local and national stories, catering for the Morning, 5pm and Late News.
One of her most memorable moments was reporting in the Sydney newsroom on the night of the London underground bombings and having to compile the lead story for the special edition Late News.
Feeling a little ‘home sick’, after 3 years living in bustling Sydney Ebbeny transferred to Ten Perth where she spent a further two years reporting before being approached by Channel Nine Perth in 2008.
As well as being a proud Nine Perth reporter Ebbeny also fills in as presenter for WIN and Nine News.
Ebbeny enjoys exploring different overseas destinations and also loves to wine and dine in the company of family and friends.
