Mark Readings has been with Channel Nine for more than 15 years and has comprehensively covered every football and cricket season during that time. His experience in presenting ranges from reading the sport and news headlines and an average of two live crosses a week.

Mark was on holiday in Bali with his family at the time of the 2002 Bali Bombing and was in the Sari Club 5 minutes before the bomb exploded. In recognition of his courageous reporting effort in Bali, Mark received the award for Best News Story or Series of News Stories Broadcast on Television and the Daily News Centenary Prize Gold Award.

In 2003, Mark accepted the Logie Award for Best News Coverage “Bali Explosions” on behalf of Channel Nine Perth and the Nine Network. Mark was also part of the award winning National Nine News Team who received a Walkley Award in 2003 for Best Television News Reporting for their coverage of the Bali Bombing.

Mark first started in journalism in 1988 (at age 17) with a cadetship at radio station 6PM (now 92.9). A year later he began reading news and was appointed Sports Director.

Mark is an accomplished MC and has been emcee for numerous high profile events in Western Australia. He lives in Perth with his wife and twin daughters - and, as you would expect, is a keen sports fanatic.
