Nadia MitsopoulosState Political Reporter - Channel 9 Perth

Nadia spent three years studying journalism and politics at Curtin University before landing a job at GWN as a News reporter back in 1991.

She worked in Bunbury and Albany for several years before returning to head the Perth Bureau. She then moved to the Channel Ten newsroom where she worked for three years as a general News reporter.

Keen to explore the world, she resigned from Ten and spent two years overseas, backpacking through Europe and the UK before settling in London. There she worked as a producer at the headquarters of Associated Press Television assisting in its coverage of major world events.

Homesickness and freezing cold winters finally drove her home and in 1999 she joined the Nine Newsroom where she satisfied her interest in politics by taking on the state political round and in that time has covered two State and two Federal elections.

She has been reporting politics ever since, spending much of her time at State Parliament.

Nadia is also a regular contributor to radio 6PR as a political commentator.
